Miguel Faria
A civil engineer with an INSEAD MBA, Miguel Faria has over 20 years of experience transforming and growing industrial and infrastructure businesses. He began as a structural and infrastructure engineer at Arup, then held leadership roles at Votorantim Cimentos, Suzano and The Navigator Company, across building materials, forestry, pulp and paper and renewable energy.
He is currently part of the leadership of Floene, contributing to the decarbonisation of the Portuguese energy system through renewable gases such as biomethane and hydrogen.
Working across the United Kingdom, North America, Brazil and Portugal, he has been behind more than €10bn of value creation and over 5,000 direct jobs, always leading multidisciplinary, multicultural teams.
At SEARA Capital, he brings this experience in engineering, complex project delivery and real estate development to build assets with technical rigour, efficiency and a long-term view.
Francisco Garnel
A civil engineer (Técnico Lisboa) with an INSEAD MBA, Francisco Garnel has over 15 years of experience managing and growing capital-intensive businesses in infrastructure, industry, retail and real estate investment. He began at Mota-Engil, managing road infrastructure works in Portugal and Mexico, then held management and transformation roles at Sonae MC, The Navigator Company and TAN Investments.
At TAN, a real estate investment platform, he was partner and Managing Director, doubling assets under management to €100m in three years and following projects from feasibility to sale. He has sat on the ULI (Urban Land Institute) Affordable Living Council since 2026.
In Portugal and abroad he has led multidisciplinary teams of up to 450 people and managed contracts totalling over €400m, always with direct accountability for results.
At SEARA Capital, he puts this experience to work delivering well-built housing at affordable prices, with judgement in design and method in execution.
